What Thriving means to me

To me, thriving means achieving even through the most challenging times. This goes hand in hand with resilience and the ability to “bounce back” after difficult times. This may look like getting comfortable with having uncomfortable conversations OR managing how you respond to a variety of emotions. To thrive is to show growth, positivity, and purpose to be the best version of ourselves!

About My
Areas of Focus

I have experience working with children as young as 5 years old, teenagers, and young adults. My approach with clients is dynamic, and allows individuals to direct their own interventions. I empower others by supporting clients during their most vulnerable moments in life while finding the tools to encourage healing. I utilize creativity and knowledge of child development to create individualized, best practice interventions for children and adolescents. I utilize play therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, family systems, and trauma-informed to work with ages 5-18 years old. My approach with children is multi-systemic to allow for the best outcomes involving all stakeholders in the child’s life to help them reach their highest potential. My areas of interest include anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, behavior modification, parenting skills/support, and family communication.

Why I love what I do

I have a big passion for what I do and it is truly because of the clients that I work with. Each person has a different story and the resilience of each person is truly remarkable. I am a big fan of relationship building in order to provide a safe space for clients to share all the ups and downs that we call life. This is also a reminder that our best looks different every day!

For Fun!

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and our two furbabies, Luna and Willow. My family often fosters dogs who need a place to crash until their forever home comes along! I enjoy volunteering or snuggled up at home reading a book. Lastly, my favorite vacation spot is Sunset Beach, NC!
