This course for stress, anxiety, and depression help online is created by Elizabeth Edwards, LMFT. It is out of a passion she has for “bridging the gap” between those feeling overwhelmed, stressed, depressed, anxious, or uneasy and those who are currently in therapy. We know that therapy is not an option for every person in every season. So, she created an online depression course to help people right from home. Depression treatment can be costly and time-consuming. But, this course helps solve that problem!
This includes 7 sessions with videos, helpful resources, and practical tips. Plus, homework from a licensed therapist.
This course is for anyone ages 12+. We welcome anyone who has been feeling stressed, anxious or depressed recently.
Why now?
This course comes at the end of COVID-19. We see the “silent” pandemic as a mental health pandemic impacting people in isolation. This includes:
- Teens
- Older adults
- Young adults
- Parents
- And singles
In fact, people are experiencing record levels of anxiety and depression right now. But, we do not have the bandwidth to meet every need. We also know that therapy can have a stigma for some groups of people. So, we want to remove that, give you the anonymity you may desire, and a timetable that works for you. By doing so, you can learn and practice at your own pace.
What if I am already in depression treatment?
We are so glad! This does not replace counseling or the counseling relationship! This is best as a complement to therapy, and as a refresher course for someone who has been in therapy before. Or, as an introduction to concepts that would be taught in therapy.
What approach does this online depression course take?
This is a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy approach to this course. What that means is we look at coping skills, thoughts, emotions, and behaviors and how they are all related. We challenge some wrong thinking and look at things we tell ourselves to see where they came from. Above all, this is a course filled with grace! We hope that you will come to love your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. You deserve to give yourself grace where you fail!
What is the cost?
The course is being sold for $200. A typical therapy session costs between $120-$150/session. This means you are getting over an $800 value for less than 2 therapy sessions. You have access to this course forever!
