MARY NASHED
Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor
Hi, I’m Mary Nashed, Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor at Foundations Family Therapy in Raleigh.
Helping you heal old wounds to move forward in freedom?
Do you feel like you’ve lost your zest for life? Are you feeling more anxious than usual? Having obsessive or thoughts that you can’t seem to get out of your mind? Always imagining the worst case scenario? Finding it harder and harder to get out of bed in the morning? Have you lost your motivation? Feeling overwhelmed about a recent life transition or stress? It sometimes feels impossible to get out of the hole by ourselves and that’s okay. We were made for community and to use support systems.
I see my role as a therapist of truly seeing you, seeing your need, and giving you resources to help you out and move you in the direction you want to go, toward victory and healing. I value authenticity, respect, and honesty. My passion is helping people who are struggling with everyday problems around relationships, work, school and any type of stress or those that have more deep-rooted issues stemming from childhood or a traumatic event. I help people develop a stronger and content sense of self.
Being “real” together
Authenticity, honesty, and respect are so important in the therapeutic relationship. You don’t have to be anyone besides yourself in the therapy room. Who you are is enough. I give every person in the therapy room the respect and listening ear they deserve.
Together we can create goals that you are passionate about and I can use my expertise to guide you and cheer you on to those goals. You deserve to be heard, understood and supported. I will use my expertise to communicate well and teach you to do the same to achieve lasting connection and healing.
Who I Am
I have experience working in private practice for over 16 years with teens and adults. I enjoy working with children, teens, young adults and their families to teach healthy coping skills, work through traumatic experiences, and help with anxiety and depressive symptoms. I would be honored to walk this road with you and your family and move you from surviving to thriving!
I work with attachment and attachment injuries from childhood to help adults move forward in freedom.
I am trained in Christian counseling if that is something you would like incorporated into your treatment plan. I believe true and lasting change comes through God’s work in our lives and would love to help facilitate that with you.
I also offer counseling services in Arabic.
The Fun Stuff
I live with my husband and two children in Morrisville and enjoy spending time with them and being involved in my church.
If you need a place of authenticity, respect, and honesty to unpack hard things, I am here for you.
