What Thriving means to me

Thriving is the ability to find meaning, purpose, and contentment in the everyday business of living. It is a sense of strength in one’s own ability to grow and change and to experience joy and fulfillment.

About My
Areas of Focus

As an eclectic practitioner, I tailor my approach to each client based on what is best suited to their needs. By drawing on a variety of modalities, I am able to connect with individuals at their pace and in alignment with their goals. There is no “one-size-fits-all” approach. I am consistently working to expand my knowledge base to offer the most empathetic, clinically appropriate, and strengths-oriented path to wellness.

Why I love what I do

I know that life can be challenging; that it can feel so overwhelming that you aren’t sure what to do next. To be able to join with someone, wherever they find themselves, and encourage them that they aren’t alone, that they have reservoirs of strength to pull from, and that there are tools to support them is most compelling and rewarding. It is an honor to be part of that process.

my experience

I received my Masters in Social Work at Salem State University, Salem, MA after a lengthy career in the consulting space. I also hold a B.A. in Anthropology from the University of Massachusetts, Boston. My clinical experience includes time in the public school system and community mental health, with a focus on older adults. I have pursued post-graduate training in CBT, DBT, and ACT, and am a Certified Trauma Professional (CTP).

What i do

For Fun!

In my free time, I enjoy nothing more than spending time with my children, though I value time alone as well! I love to read and can get lost for hours in a well-written story. I also love live music, catching up with friends, and spending time enjoying the outdoors.
