What Thriving means to me

To me, thriving means having the mental, physical, and emotional space to grow and move towards your goals. Thriving means making the best of your circumstances, finding joy in the day-to-day, and feeling a sense of purpose in life.

About My
Areas of Focus

I enjoy working with adolescents as they navigate the complexities of coming of age, individuals as they grapple with the hurts and traumas of their past, and couples as they work through difficulties affecting their relationship.

I have a compassionate, systemic, and holistic approach to therapy. I understand that there are a variety of complex issues that bring people to counseling. I work with my clients to find the best treatment approach for them by drawing from a wide range of evidence-based practices, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Gottman Couples Therapy, Motivational Interviewing (MI), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and family systems theories. I am a certified PREPARE/ENRICH facilitator for those seeking pre-marital counseling. I also enjoy incorporating client cultural and spiritual beliefs into therapy and have training in providing Christian counseling to clients who desire it.

Why I love what I do

I love getting to be a part of the healing journey in the lives of my clients. It’s an honor to listen to their stories and witness the transformation that occurs in their lives.
