What Thriving means to me

To me, thriving is becoming the best version of yourself for you, your family, and your community.

About My
Areas of Focus

I enjoy working with children of all ages, as well as couples, families, and adult individuals. I work from a strengths perspective under the belief that clients come to us with many protective factors and strengths that, once uncovered, can assist them in working through life’s difficulties.

Why I love what I do

I love helping clients discover the best version of themselves. I believe that clients are self-determined and are the best experts in what they need and want. The experience of pain and stress often creates a mental block in clients being able to access their inner strengths. I love to hold a mirror for clients and show them all the ways that they have already learned how to thrive in life and help them regain that inner confidence to achieve their goals.

my experience

I have a master’s degree from the University of Maryland, School of Social Work. I hold a full social work license (LCSW) in the state of North Carolina. Prior to joining private practice, I spent many years in community mental health, substance abuse treatment, and the school system.
